As you enter G-Force Records while in line for the Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you may notice posters advertising albums from the Walt Disney Company’s various record labels on display. However, some of the artists represented have been a bit more animated than others. Although the lineup of posters changes from time to time, characters from the Disney Channel animated series “Phineas and Ferb” have gotten their time in the rock ‘n’ roll spotlight here. However, one of the figures seen here may seem a little out of place hanging out with the likes of the evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz at first glance: former Guns N’ Rozes lead guitarist Slash.
The poster advertises the soundtrack album from the Disney Channel Original Movie “Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension,” in which Slash’s cartoon likeness appears over the end credits to supply his guitar skills to the end title song, “Kick It Up A Notch.” Behind the scenes, though, the real Slash collaborated with “Phineas and Ferb” co-creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh and show composer Danny Jacobs to write the tune as well. While “Phineas and Ferb” will sadly be airing its final episode over the weekend, this poster stands as yet another piece of evidence of just how much the show rocked.
