Finally They’re Opening Up The Gates at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

In “Frozen,” Anna was thrilled when Coronation Day arrived because it meant the gates of Arendelle would be opened to visitors “for the first time in forever.” However, the princess could be found welcoming guests just outside another set of open gates during the summer of 2015. Topiaries of both Anna and her sister, Queen Elsa, were placed at the entrance of Disney’s Hollywood Studios in celebration of the second and final year of “Frozen Summer Fun.” While this summer-long special event included brought several exclusive entertainment offerings to the park, these topiaries were actually borrowed from another Walt Disney World festival.

Anna and Elsa made their topiary debut just a few months earlier at the 2015 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. Upon that event’s conclusion, the pair quickly found themselves relocated to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where they spent the rest of the summer serving as a prelude to the rest of the park’s “Frozen” festivities. Although “Frozen Summer Fun” has not returned since its 2015 iteration, “Frozen” fan will be able to see these topiaries again soon when they once again return to Epcot as part of this year’s Flower and Garden Festival.
